Palliative Care ACT - Movie Night
From: Sunday May 5, 2019, 3:00 pm
To: Sunday May 5, 2019, 6:30 pm
Palliative Care ACT warmly invites you to its next fundraising movie. All money raised goes towards supporting those people who are at the end of their life and their carers. Palliative Care ACT works at Clare Holland House, in residential aged care facilities, in people’s homes and at the Canberra Hospital when requested. It provides a range of support services through a network of wonderful volunteers.
For this fundraiser, we are showing The Aftermath which is set in post war Germany in 1946. Rachael Morgan (Keira Knightley) arrives in the ruins of Hamburg in the bitter winter, to be reunited with her husband Lewis (Jason Clarke), a British colonel charged with rebuilding the shattered city. But as they set off for their new home, Rachael is stunned to discover that Lewis has made an unexpected decision: they will be sharing the grand house with its previous owners, a German widower( Alexander Skarsgård) and his troubled daughter. In this charged atmosphere, enmity and grief give way to passion and betrayal.
The event will be held at Palace Cinema, Acton on Sunday 5 May kicking off at 3.00 pm with light refreshments. The movie will start at 3.30 pm. Tickets are $40 per person and include the movie, a drink (beer, bubbles or water), nibbles, ice cream and popcorn.
Tickets may be purchased through Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/the-aftermath-palliative-care-act-movie-afternoon-tickets-59362788699
